Lilly, a 19 year old freshman at college, comes back to her hometown in western Massachusetts for the first time after leaving for school. Friends and family welcome her back unaware that during her time away, Lilly has changed.
Liberated from the confines of a small rural town, Lilly – hot blooded and restless – is confronted with prejudice. While her new-found attitude and ideology forces her closest friends to reevaluate their beliefs on race and sexuality, she is determined to find closure.
