The Nomads har grundat en hel scen av garagerockband. Sedan starten i Solna 1981 - och hiskeliga 42 år efter debutplattan Where the Wolf Bane Blooms – inspirerar Nick Vahlberg, Hasse Östlund, Björne Fröberg och Joakim Werning fortfarande nya generationer av musiker på världens alla kontinenter.

Och de har även lyckats med konststycket att få sina idoler att älska dem, som till exempel The Dictators, MC5 och Ramones. Jeffrey Lee Pierce skrev en låt till dem, de har kompat Roky Erickson. Och så vidare.

Vibeke Saugestad is a Norwegian power pop singer and songwriter with a powerful voice, catchy melodies, and an energetic stage presence.

To quote powerpopaholic.com: “Okay so you take Debbie Harry of Blondie and you make her the lead singer for The Knack. That's it – you've basically got Vibeke.” She went solo early in the new millennium and released 3 solo albums and one EP.

Now she is coming back to play to her beloved audience for the first time in over a decade! After frequently touring Europe with both The Yum Yums, The Twistaroos and her own solo material in the beginning of the 2000s, Vibeke disappeared.

What really happened was: She fell in love with the Fleshtones’ bass player and moved to the US. Fast forward to 2025: Vibeke now lives in Beacon, NY and for a closing party of her neighbourhood bar, she got the idea of bringing her old solo material back to life with a killer new band, consisting of her husband KEN FOX on bass, Mark Westin on guitar, Josh Stark on guitar and Adam Napell on drums. She will also be bringing a new EP with new material with her.

This is genuine Norwegian Power Pop! Expect fast paced, happy rock’n’roll, lots of climbing on tables and bars and songs that make you want to dance and sing along.
