Singer/Songwriter session i vardagsrummet på Babel

Onsdagen den 19e november bjuder Babel in till en härlig spelning i vardagsrummet med de tre fantastiska artisterna WES, Alex Gibson och Hush Forever. Det kommer vara tre singer/songwriters med texter både på svenska och engelska. Vi ser fram emot en akustisk kväll i vardagsrummet.

WES Sedan debut-EP:n Världen Får Vänta 2016 har Staffan Wester under namnet WES fortsatt att skriva, spela in och framföra låtar på svenska som kretsar kring relationer, längtan, vilsenhet och livet från en senare utkikspunkt. Musiken befinner sig någonstans mellan singersongwriter-genren, pop, rock och visa, med texten och berättelsen i framsätet. Akustiska gitarrer möter fullt popkomp med bas och trummor, dragspel, munspel, loopar och syntbubbel.

Alex Gibson Alex Gibson is an Australian-born, Malmö-based singer-songwriter whose music blends heartfelt lyrics with warm, soulful vocals. Following his debut album This Is Life (2012) and the 2021 release Thirty — which received airplay on Triple J’s Roots N All and Amazing Radio in the UK and US — Alex has continued to develop a modern, cinematic sound. His 2024 single Hurricane marked a confident step forward. Known for his captivating live performances — from London’s 100 Club and OMEARA to Sofar Sounds sessions and recent shows across Sweden and Denmark — Alex connects with audiences through music that is as intimate as it is powerful.

Hush Forever Hush Forever (Sebastian Lilja) belies his own name. You wouldn't "hush" on him.. in fact you'd want to listen to him on repeat “forever”. He manages to capture such a poignancy in his lyrics and melodies, that you are instantly drawn to him and his ability go be present. He is like this inner voice of yours, mastering to empathize with you and express how you feel this very moment. Sebastian is simply a person who is a pleasure to have as a companion on a journey. He is a singer songwriter at heart but also a lover of all music. His sound universe is heavily influenced by organic instruments mixed with electronics. Not surprisingly, all of his electronic instruments are analogue. With the voice and quirky acoustic guitars in front, blended in with deep warm 70’s synthesizers, the sound merges into the sampled sounds of life and an experimental cinematic atmosphere. All blended with a fascination for minimalism and contrasts. Hush Forever is a real light seeker but without the pseudo nonsense. As a persona, as well as his music, he is straight to the point and straight to the heart.
