Beloved and controversial. Zarah Leander was the highest-paid film actress of her time and an internationally celebrated singer. She was particularly adored in Germany during the dark reign of the Nazis.

In a newly written musical monologue, we meet the superstar and human being Zarah during the last days of her life. We follow Zarah into the studio, where she records some of her greatest songs. It is an emotional evening, where memories of love, betrayal and unfortunate life choices flow into one another, while the music and whisky flow freely.
