There is something mysterious happening in the sea outside Småköping. Although the weather is beautiful, large waves are created that wash over the harbor, the pier and the small town. What could be causing such strong waves that boats are washed ashore and pirates end up in a spruce tree? At the same time, at the Eken preschool, Mini-Hopp starts playing the violin. It's not going well. It just squeaks. No one thinks it sounds nice. Everyone just laughs. Mini-Hopp has never felt so alone as when he sadly kicks gravel on his way down to the water and stands on the farthest cliff to be alone with his violin. But suddenly, when he puts his bow against the strings, the water below the cliff starts to bubble and something very large rises from the sea.
