Mörk is an anthology of short plays in multiple sub-genres of horror, from the Gothic to the Eldritch. The production utilizes the darkness as a major creative element, relying on practical lights to give the audience an intimate and immersive experience. The audience will be front and center to share in the characters’ experience of dread, terror, and regret as they struggle against a fate born from their own past mistakes.
The Butcher follows two police officers hunting a brutal killer who is stalking the streets of Victorian London. In The Light, a past debt hangs over the head of two bootleggers on a dockside in prohibition-era New England on a dark night where something inexplicable has been witnessed. Mother asks just how far we would go to move on from our past, and if we ever really can.
Scream Queens is a ribald slasher parody about looking at “the good old days” through rose-colored glasses. In Restful Sleep, Theatre of Menace pays homage to classical Gothic Horror as we follow two resurrectionists into a long-forgotten graveyard. We conjure up Folk Horror from a forgotten corner of history for The Offering as mere mortals dare to ask forbidden questions of the dead.
