A goat’s eyes are one of nature’s oddities, with horizontal pupils that give them an unusually wide field of vision. Equally unusual is the instrumentation of Ensemble Getögon, here consisting of violin, clarinet, accordion, percussion and tuba. And just like goats, the ensemble takes a broad view, venturing beyond the beaten track, with the aim of promoting unconventional musical expressions and creating space for the next generation of composers and sound artists.
They commission new works for their unique instrumentation, but also perform music from the Middle Ages and Renaissance in their own arrangements. This concert features a number of pieces centred around Marie Samuelsson’s Rondo i ringen – a commission from Getögon that received its world premiere in a boxing gym in June 2026.
