JJULIUS JJULIUS is originally the solo project of Gothenburg-based musician and producer Julius Pierstorff, a distinctive voice in Sweden’s contemporary underground music scene. Blending post-punk, DIY pop, lo-fi experimentation, and alternative dance influences, JJULIUS creates music that feels both deeply personal and unpredictably inventive. His work combines melodic immediacy with surreal storytelling, drawing inspiration from artists such as Arthur Russell, The Fall, and the broader post-punk tradition while maintaining a singular artistic identity.
In recent years the project has evolved from being mostly a solo endeavour to include a full band both live and in the studio. As a live act the full band pushes the songs to their limit, giving them a noisy rock’n’roll edge.
