Kimono Punk: Styling & Photo Experience

A creative kimono styling workshop with a professional photo session. Discover modern ways of wearing kimono and express your own unique style through Japanese garments.

Step into the world of Kimono Punk, where traditional Japanese garments meet contemporary creativity.

In this workshop, you will explore playful and creative ways of wearing vintage kimono through layering, belts, and personal styling. Inspired by the imaginative world of yokai (Japanese supernatural beings), participants are invited to experiment and express their own unique look through kimono. The workshop takes place in Studio Ida Trotzig, surrounded by photographs of everyday life in Japan around the late 19th century — a reminder that kimono was once part of daily life and worn in many different ways.

After the styling session, participants will enjoy a professional photo shooting session to capture their Kimono Punk look.

No previous experience is needed — just curiosity and creativity.

After this workshop, you will be able to wear kimono by yourself in a simple  and modern way.

Please note that this is a creative styling workshop, not a traditional  kimono dressing class.
