AN IMMERSIVE THEATRICAL BREAKFAST DESIGNED TO ALTER YOUR STATE.
Can a Sunday breakfast wake you up more than coffee? Can you sit down with a table full of strangers and leave feeling like you shared the same night before? Breakfast is served. On Sunday mornings, The Great Ball at Satan's becomes a breakfast. For approximately 90 minutes, Kira Nova conducts a formal and enigmatic gathering of music, movement, games, food, drinks, and encounters with strangers. A system of rules and rituals interrupts the invisible codes that usually shape how we meet. Sunday breakfast is a familiar ritual: the same table, the same places, the same roles. Here, the structure remains strict, but what happens inside it does not. Relationships shift, social roles loosen, and strangers begin to form a temporary community. If you have been to the Ball, you will know the rules. The hour changes what they do. Part breakfast. Part theatre. Part social experiment. This is not a sit-and-watch situation. You move, you play, you participate. Come alone, come with friends. You may lose them before lunch. No substances needed. Coffee is served. Alcohol is available.
DRESS CODE In the evening, we arrive dressed for the night and ready to let go. In the morning, the day's version of ourselves is not quite assembled yet. The Great Breakfast begins there.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION This is an immersive performance. It contains adult themes, suggestive humor, and simulated nudity through prosthetic body parts. However, there is no actual nudity and no sexual activity of any kind. This is an interactive event, but you are never required to touch anyone or be touched. Ask before initiating physical contact. Respect a "no" immediately. You are always free to decline an invitation, sit something out, or step away.
Inspired by Mikhail Bulgakov's The Master and Margarita.
ABOUT KIRA NOVA Kira Nova (b. 1982, Lithuania) works across dance, physical theatre, Butoh, and stand-up. Her practice moves between the sensual and the satirical, where carefully constructed situations allow unpredictability to emerge.
