Find the groove with Wyatt Harman – Award-winning bassist and educator

Do you want to learn how to lay the perfect foundation in a band? Wyatt Harman is not only one of the most energetic bassists on the bluegrass scene today—he is also a professional teacher who knows exactly how to communicate knowledge in a clear and inspiring way.

Wyatt, originally from Missouri, has music in his blood but found his true passion for the bass at the age of 15. His talent and drive have made him one of the most decorated musicians in the industry:

Midwest Bass Player of the Year: Winner five years in a row (2016–2020) Entertainer of the Year: Awarded in both 2019 and 2020 Grand Ole Opry debut: In December 2023, he fulfilled a dream by performing on the legendary stage alongside Rhonda Vincent & The Rage

A teacher passionate about your development

In his everyday life, Wyatt works as a history teacher, giving him a unique advantage as an instructor. He has a natural ability to break down complex techniques so they become easy and enjoyable to learn. His dedication to the next generation is also reflected in his work with scholarship programs for young musicians.

Why choose Wyatt’s course?

When you take a course with Wyatt, you get more than just lessons in keeping time. You gain insight from successful bands like Zach Top & Modern Tradition and his current role in the acclaimed Volume Five.

In the course, you will focus on:

Energy and timing: How to drive a band forward with the right pressure on the strings Stage presence: Learn techniques from a two-time “Entertainer of the Year” Musical understanding: Wyatt shares the knowledge he has inherited from musicians like Jeff Partin and Chris Williamson From beginner to pro level: Thanks to his teaching background, Wyatt adapts the lessons whether you are a beginner or looking to refine your playing

“Playing bass is about more than just notes—it’s about being the heart of the band. My passion is helping you find that confidence in your playing.”
