Malmö Kortspelsförening and The Nordic Takedown Podcast presents Scandinavia’s biggest Star Wars: Unlimited tournament to date: SWU Open 2025 @ Malmö Game Week! Join us for a chance at your stake in a prize pool containing booster boxes, Gamegenic goodies and official merch worth over 10.000 euro!

The main event: The main tournament starts at 10.00 CEST, with registration beginning at 09.00 CEST. Amount of swiss rounds will depend on total player count - expect between six and nine rounds, followed by a top 16 cut for day two. Every round is played as with competitive rules, in "Best of three" rounds.

An email will be sent to participants a few days before the event with a link to the Melee.gg tournament sign-up.

Those who did not make it to the top cut are welcome to join the Best of the Rest tournament on day two.

Prize Pool: 1st: 1 booster case, 1 Carbonite box 2nd: 4 booster boxes, 6 Carbonite packs 3rd–4th: 3 booster boxes, 3 Carbonite packs 5th–8th: 2 booster boxes 9th–16th: 18 booster packs 17th–32nd: 6 booster packs

If more than 128 players participate, over 20 additional booster boxes will be added to the prize pool. If 220 players participate, the winner will receive travel, accommodations and ticket to the next Regional Qualifier in Europe. All tickets will be booked together with the organizer.

In addition, every player will receive a custom playmat and the Darth Tyranus event promo. We’ll also be giving out official Star Wars: Unlimited merchandise only available at sanctioned tournaments, such as pins and shirts.

Finally, Gamegenic goodies—including sleeves, deck pods, and binders—will be given out during raffles and more.

Side event information: During day two "The Best of the Rest", a casual premier tournament with additional prize support will take place. In addition, draft and twin sun can be played on demand.
