For thousands of years, people in different cultures have tattooed themselves, and today Swedes are among the most tattooed people in the world. The Mediterranean Museum's new exhibition Tattoo - Stories in Ink from the Mediterranean depicts the long, diverse history of the art of tattooing. It follows the journey of ink from ancient rituals to today's personalised expressions.

Welcome to the opening of the exhibition Tattoo – Stories in Ink from the Mediterranean. The opening starts with speeches by Britta Söderqvist, director of the National Museums of World Culture, Rasha Shaaban, project leader of the exhibition in Sweden, Guido Guerzoni, curator and Roberta Pagani, producer of the exhibition at 24 Ore Cultura Milan. DJ Mamdouh313 will be playing an eclectic mix from The mediterranean, just like this exhibition's theme.

Tattoo – Stories in Ink from the Mediterranean will be open the whole evening and there will be opportunity to meet and greet with Rasha Shaaban, Guido Guerzoni, Roberta Pagani, as well as some of the tattooed models in the exhibition. Bagdad Café will be open the whole evening.
