Learn to play the fiddle with a true professional – Meet Glen Harrell, who will lead the Grenna Bluegrass fiddle workshop over 3 days!

Do you want to take your fiddle playing to the next level with the help of a musician who has performed on the world’s biggest stages? Glen Harrell’s life has revolved around music since childhood. At just nine years old, he picked up the guitar, and by fourteen he had found his calling in the fiddle.

From local teenage bands, Glen stepped onto the major bluegrass scene. In 2002, he joined country star Marty Raybon’s band (former lead singer of the supergroup Shenandoah). For six intense years, he toured across the United States and internationally, appeared in numerous TV productions, and performed on the legendary Grand Ole Opry stage.

Since 2008, Glen has led his own acclaimed band, Volume Five. His philosophy is simple: music is about community, vision, and finding your own expression. “I’ve finally found the music I’ve always wanted to play. There’s nothing better than creating music together with friends who share the same vision.”

When you take a course with Glen, you’ll gain not only technical skills, but also:

Insights from a professional career: Learn the tricks needed to perform on stage. Genuine joy of playing: Be inspired by Glen’s deep love for bluegrass and country. Valuable experience: Benefit from the knowledge of a musician who has played with the very best.

Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine the details, this is your chance to learn from a master who lives for music.

Take the step and develop your playing today – sign up for Glen’s fiddle course!

The workshop will be held on August 12th, 13th, and 14th, 2026. It starts around 9:00 each day and ends around 15:00, at Campus Gränna, just above the town square.

Breakfast and lunch is included.

We recommend staying at First Camp Gränna, which is about a 15-minute walk from the venue.

Welcome!
