ABOUT THE FILM Kal P Dal was one of Skåne’s most beloved artists, known for his irresistible charm and energy. This documentary highlights his inspiring musical journey, from the debut album Till Mossan – a groundbreaking record of rock ’n’ roll in the Scanian dialect – to becoming one of Sweden’s biggest bands in the 1970s.

With timeless hits like Blåa sko’ and Om ja’ va’ en slashas, Kal P Dal wasn’t just a musician; he was a bringer of joy whose motto was to "rock the butts off the Swedish people." Carl Sven-Göran Ljunggren, Kal P Dal’s real name, passed away in 1985 at just 35 years old. The film is a heartfelt and nostalgic look back at the music scene of 1970s Skåne and Sweden.

The documentary became a major box office success and was eventually a contender for the “Audience Award” at the 2025 Guldbagge Awards. This summer, the film is touring in the largest outdoor cinema tour in Skåne’s history, with free screenings in at least eleven Scanian municipalities. A magnificent tribute to Kalle – with guests, contests, and surprises. The tour is carried out with support from Sparbanken Skåne, Region Skåne, Folkets Hus och Parker and participating municipalities.
