Göteborgs Symfoniker invites you to a musical encounter where the double bass steps out from the back of the orchestra and takes center stage. A double bass quartet and a duo for viola and double bass reveal the instruments from both familiar and unexpected perspectives.
The programme brings together a diverse mix of music, expressions and styles – from delicate and intimate to powerful and bold – with the warmest and darkest sounds of the strings at the heart of the experience.
