About Toyin

Born and raised in the DMV, Toyin is an international dance artist, educator, choreographer, and cultural ambassador of Black street and club styles. She has gained the respect as one of the best house dancers of this generation and is perhaps most well-known for earning the distinction of performing, winning and judging some of the top dance competitions in the world, like Juste Debout, Summer Dance Forever and I Love This Dance to name a few. As an internationally established dancer, Toyin is dedicated to preserving and cultivating the authenticity of hip hop and club culture and their Black heritage. She is also the creator and director of the collective ‘Nefer Global Movement’, a group of actively influential women in the Hip Hop dance scene, celebrating dance, culture and empowering sisterhood. Toyin strives to be a true pillar of artistic excellence and uses art as a tool to propel personal empowerment and communal engagement

** About the workshop** "My House Dance workshop focuses on groove, rhythm, and spiritual presence in movement. We explore steps, freestyle flow, and the energetic conversation between body and music. Rooted in cultural depth and personal expression, the class invites dancers to move with intention, freedom, and connection—honoring House not just as a style, but as a soulful, liberating experience" -Toyin

Open level The workshop are open level which means all levels are welcome. But it will not be suitable for beginners therefore we recommend some dance experience. Not particularly in the same style as the workshop.

The workshops will be held in english.
