About Jit The Jit was born on the streets of Detroit, Michigan in the 1970s. It’s combination of fast moves, fancy footwork and acrobatic elements provides the Jit’s unique flavor. Cultivated in local clubs, venues, street corners and basements, the Jit is a brilliant testimony of Detroit’s heart and soul, style and grit.

About the Workshop This Jit Masters workshop is led by teachers LaMar Bryant, James Terry, DJ Fluff 313, and founder Michael Smith. First part of class focuses on the fundamentals of Jit: basic footwork, coordination and core movements. Second part we pick up the pace and delve deeper into Jit's intricate footwork patterns, body isolations and freestyle techniques
