Academy Award winner Olivia Colman plays a fisherwoman living in a seaside village. One day, she grows weary of her life as a fish-scented singleton, constantly pestered by her small-minded neighbors. She decides to simply order a man made of wicker (Alexander Skarsgård) from a basket weaver. Her unconventional romance with the handsome creation sparks outrage, jealousy, and chaos in the conservative village. It premiered and received acclaim at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
