From The City to The Ship - East Indiaman Tour

Join us for a guided tour from the city to the ship!

We begin at Gustav Adolfs Square, where you'll learn about the founding of our city. From there, we take a short walk and follow the footsteps of the Swedish East India Company.

Why did people travel to China? Who sailed aboard these ships, and what happened when they returned with their valuable cargo?

At Stenpiren, we board the ferry to Eriksberg and Pier 4.

The tour concludes with a visit aboard the Götheborg of Sweden, the full-scale replica of the original East Indiaman Götheborg, which ran aground and sank in the Älvsborg Fjord in 1745.

The ferry crossing and admission to the Götheborg of Sweden are included in the ticket price.
