When the full moon is at its peak and young witch Kiki turns thirteen, tradition dictates it is time for her witch’s apprenticeship. To become a full-fledged witch, she must spend a year in a strange town; accompanied by her best friend—the quick-witted cat Jiji—she settles in a large seaside city. Kiki has not yet discovered her specific witch’s talent, but she decides to start a delivery service—after all, she certainly knows how to fly! However, adapting to a new environment isn't always easy, and flying alone isn't enough for her to grow as a witch.
