Sister Nancy, born Ophlin Russell, is a pioneering Jamaican dancehall DJ and singer, renowned for being one of the first female DJs in the genre. She is best known for her iconic 1982 hit "Bam Bam," which has been sampled extensively and featured in numerous films and commercials. Beyond her musical achievements, Sister Nancy is celebrated for her influential role in paving the way for other female artists in dancehall.
