THE VISIBLE VOICE

Svensk Musikvår presents Viva Vocal Ensemble and The Visible Voice: a performative exploration of the voice and body in the works AIR, Modulations and Astatootch!. Through experimental music and a wide array of vocal expressions, five voices meet in sound, gesture and spatiality to create a multisensory experience. Program
AIR: for five voices, objects, room and 6-channel fixed media
AIR navigates an intricate path through the multifaceted connections surrounding the element 'air' that entange mythology, folklore, beliefs, anemology and scientific knowledge. Throughout the piece, sounds, voices and bodies interact with the room in a flux of changing momentums, placements and directions weaving all things together in space and performance.

A wandering through everchanging pulses and impulses.

Astatooch!: for 5 voices, and selected objects
A discovery of the abstract, absurd, resonant, tangible and sensorial that trickle, scurry, course, and sometimes burst through in the words and odd combinations of vowels and consonants to be found in selected poems by Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven.
