AFTER-PARTY ÖREBRO KARNEVAL

Den 30:e augusti levererar Peace Of Music en bonuskväll då brasilianska slagverkaren Letícia Salgueiro (Rio/Barcelona) kommer till Örebro för att göra en konsert tillsammans med några av stadens electro- och improvisationsmusiker. Brasilianskt slagverk i toppklass utlovas tillsammans med trummor, synthar, sång, blås m.m och ett glödhett dansgolv 🪩 Konserten startar kl 19:00 och är en efterfest till Örebros brasilianska karnevalståg med slagverksgruppen Sabugueiro som hålls tidigare under eftermiddag.

Letícia Salgueiro participated in the revitalization of Rio's street carnival from a very young age, being one of the few women director and mestre de bateria in Rio de Janeiro. She has worked for more than 15 years in major carnival parades, accompanying various artists on tours throughout Brazil, Europe, the United States, and in studio recordings. As a producer, she was a resident of “Estude o Funk” and released beats and arrangements with new composers from Rio de Janeiro's music scene. Letícia brings in her experience the fusion of Brazilian's traditions and roots with a new possibilities in a contemporary language, from a feminine and particular perspective. She has been working as arranger and drum master of Bloco Fogo e Paixão and Bloco pra Iaiá, arranger for Carousel de Emoções, Master of Repique for Bangalafumenga and percussionist for Bloco Lgbtqia+ TriboQ and Bloco da Favorita. She currently teaches percussion workshops and plays with Guira Una Duo and Samba Quintal Delas, em Barcelona. Her objective is to make music more diverse and plural using the streets and popular festivities from Brazil as main reference.
