Set in a sun-bleached and worn-out Los Angeles, Crime 101 is the story of a polished jewel thief (Chris Hemsworth) whose heists have baffled the police for years. As he plans his biggest heist, he crosses paths with a disillusioned insurance agent (Halle Berry) who is at a crossroads herself. A stubborn detective (Mark Ruffalo), convinced he has found a pattern, is hot on their heels and the risks increase. As the heist approaches, the line between hunter and hunted begins to blur, and all three are faced with life-changing choices - and the realization that there is no going back.

The film is based on Don Winslow's acclaimed short story of the same name and the film is written and directed by Bart Layton (American Animals, The Imposter). The other cast includes Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Nick Nolte.
