Stilio – KABUTO, Gamine, Olya Smok

Each Stilio is shaped around a clear musical intention. On April 18, that intention will channel the more introspective, twisted and freaky side of electronic dance music.

Tokyo-based KABUTO is a longtime staple of the Asian circuit and being fresh off a Europe tour this marks his first appearance in Sweden. We’re excited to have him for an extended, club-focused opening set. Berlin-based Olya Smok, originally from Belarus, will steer the night toward offbeat, experimental dawns. It feels great to welcome her back after an early Stilio appearance at just our second edition. Another returning artist is Brussels-based, southern-born selector Gamine. He joined us as a secret guest at last year’s Stilio in the Forest. Expect freaky digs of stripped down techno delivered in an emotive, colorful, and punk way. A whole night of smart music for twisted minds.

For this edition, the Belgian collective Dream Plant has been invited by the Stilio production team, Organized Chaos, to collaborate on a light installation. They were part of the last warehouse party so some of you know what to expect. Let’s just say the music won’t be the only thing messing with your senses.

On the sound system frontier we’ll break new ground (and sound) by trying out a system from Void. We’ve heard great things about these subwoofers and are just as excited as you are to hear them. As always, a full room tuning and EQ-ing will be carried out by YXA.
