The creators behind Brutalisten now come with a new film, The Testament of Ann Lee. This time Mona Fastvold directs and Brady Corbet has co-written the script.

The film is set in the 18th century and is about the founder of the religious Shaker movement, Ann Lee, who was designated by her followers as the female Jesus. We follow the movement's journey towards the utopian society that they sought through their worship with song and dance.

The film is based on true events.
