Museums collect and preserve, research and communicate. Objects and artworks from the collection are therefore often kept in storage, out of public view. In the series Out of Storage, we change that. A curator at Kode selects items from storage for one evening and presents a lecture based on them.

Did you know that the museum has been collecting textiles since the 19th century? What we have collected, and how objects have found their way into the collection, has varied over time. Historic garments, christening caps and stockings are just some of the treasures that have become part of the museum’s collection.

As we now prepare to move the costume collection, we invite you to an exclusive collection viewing, where we open the lids of old boxes and rediscover forgotten treasures.

The evening begins with a short talk on the museum’s costume collection by Senior Curator Peder Valle.
