Welcome to a Christmas workshop where we will make decorations using willow and other materials from nature.
Coline Bouquin is a French basket maker who has settled on Osterøy, just outside Bergen. After studying philosophy and art, she learned the craft of willow weaving from a renowned French basket maker in France. She has also taken part in the Homo Faber Fellowship exchange programme.
She works mainly with willow weaving but also uses other plants that she forages in her local surroundings. Using traditional weaving and plaiting techniques, she also explores contemporary and new forms of basket making.
