As a member, you are invited to an exclusive, complimentary guided tour of The Purpose of a System is What it Does – before the exhibition opens to the public.
This is the most extensive museum presentation of Gardar Eide Einarsson’s artistic practice to date. For more than 25 years, Einarsson has explored themes such as oppression, state violence, propaganda and power. The exhibition brings together key works across a range of media, including sculpture, video, works on paper and painting.
Curator Synnøve Marie Vik will take you through the exhibition, offering deeper insight into the artist’s practice, the works and their relevance today. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and experience the exhibition in a more intimate setting – before the doors open to the public.
