MoveMakeMagic also known as Miwa, Magnus & Mayu presents Ecstatic Church.

About the day: A day where the church becomes a dance floor. Movement instead of words. Music instead of sermons.

Ecstatic Church is a sober, dance journey held in the sacred space of Sofienberg kirke. A place to move, feel, pray, release, and be—through the body.

No talking on the dance floor. No phones. No substances.

Just sound, breath, sweat, stillness, and collective presence.

You don’t need to believe in anything. You don’t need to perform. You only need to show up and move as you are.

It’s a shared experience inside a space that already holds decades of devotion—now expressed through dance.

Welcome to Ecstatic Church.

New to Ecstatic Dance? You are very welcome!

Please Read the Guidelines to help us preserve the spirit of this experience.

🌱 Be Fully Present We invite you to disconnect from the digital world and enter a space of presence. Please keep phones and cameras away so we can all be immersed in the moment together.

🤫 Honour the Shared Silence The dance floor is a space beyond words — please refrain from talking during the dance. Let your body speak, and connect through movement, energy, and presence. If you need to communicate with someone, please do it outside or near the entrance.

✨ Substance-Free Space To support clarity, safety, and full presence, we ask everyone to honour this as a substance-free event. Please come free of alcohol and other intoxicants so we can all co-create a conscious, grounded container.

🤝 Practice Respect and Consent Connection begins with awareness. Make eye contact before engaging with others, and listen for a true “yes.” Respect space and signals — crossed arms or looking away mean “no.” Let's honour each other’s boundaries with care.

🌍 Come as You Are We invite you to dance barefoot to root yourself to the earth. Move freely and without judgment. Bring your whole self — even the shy, hidden parts. This is a space for truth, play, and healing.
