An Evening of Deep Listening & Togetherness

Immerse yourself in a candlelit musical experience. Deepening our connection to the music, the moment, and to each other. This Grounding Session blends live acoustic expression with spacious electronic textures, unfolding as a gentle, evolving journey through atmosphere and emotion. At the center of the evening is presence: the feeling of being right here, right now, carried by sound and frequencies.

Program 18:00 – Ambient Set A meditative opening created in collaboration by the evening’s musicians. Layered tones, minimalistic textures, and slow-moving soundscapes that prepare the body and mind for deeper listening.

19:00 – Kristoffer Birkedal Singer and songwriter Kristoffer Birkedal brings raw honesty through voice and guitar. His music is grounded in lyrical storytelling and folk music. Warm, intimate, and deeply human. With a gentle presence and an ear for melody, Kristoffer sets a tone of vulnerability and openness that invites the room to settle in.

**20:00 – Jacob Roots ** The night culminates in an immersive performance from Jacob Roots blending live instruments, spoken words, and rich electronic production.

Jacob Roots, shaped by both Norwegian and Jamaican heritage, crafts a borderless sound rooted in folk, reggae, dub, ambient, and minimalistic electronic music. His approach draws on Nordic melodic sensibilities and Caribbean/African rhythmic traditions, merging them into atmospheric, grounding soundscapes inspired by artists like Rhythm & Sound, Bremer/McCoy, Rôyksopp, Lee Scratch Perry, and Robert Glasper. His Grounding Session concept encourages the audience to slow down, sink in, and connect.

Slægi, electronic producer and sound engineer, brings a deep sense of texture and sonic architecture. Together, they create a living, breathing musical world where structure and improvisation meet.

Featuring Kristoffer Birkedal – Guitarist, singer & songwriter ** Mira Beckstrøm Laurantzon** – Cello, creating emotional depth and warm acoustic resonance ** Ivan Oliversen** – Multi-instrumentalist, adding color, movement, and spontaneity. ** Jacob Roots** – Artist and creator of Grounding Session ** Slægi **– Electronic producer & sound engineer
