Wine Tasting with Lise Aanes + Anna Jæger

Welcome to a tasting of this year’s Christmas wines!

Wondering what wines to serve with your holiday meals?

Wine writer Lise Aanes and importer Anna Jæger invite you to an evening featuring the season’s most exciting wines for Christmas dishes. We’ll taste wines for pinnekjøtt, pork rib roast, Christmas cod, dessert, and a sparkling recommendation for New Year’s Eve. We’ll also discuss what to consider if you want to stick with classic pairings – and what to do if you’d like to challenge your guests a little.

The tasting includes six wines made on nature’s terms, carefully selected to complement the season’s flavors. All wines will be available at Vinmonopolet through Christmas, so you can stock up on your favorites.

Lise and Anna previously ran the wine bar Esaias together in central Oslo. They’ll also be happy to answer your burning questions about wine and food pairings – and much more. Anna Jæger is a trained sommelier and importer at Blend Wines. Lise Aanes is a journalist, known for her wine column Naturlig Vin in D2/Dagens Næringsliv, a wine communicator, and author of the book Naturvin.
