Roskilde Festival is one of Northern Europe’s largest and most iconic music and cultural festivals. Since its start in the early 1970s, the festival has grown into a temporary city that brings together more than 130,000 visitors each year for music, art, debate and shared experiences. The festival is run as a non-profit organisation, and all profits are donated to humanitarian, cultural and youth-oriented causes.

Volunteering and community are at the heart of Roskilde: roughly 30,000 volunteers participate each year in building and running the festival, making the event possible and rooted in participant engagement.
