Skymningszonen (or "Twilight Zone" in English) presents modern interpretations of chorales from Swedish hymnals and dance music from the valleys of southern Norway.
Folk music from the bedrock, traditionally played on the Norwegian hardingfele along with double winds and dark strings—subdued and atmospheric. Skymningszonen ’s concerts move from slow, swaying rhythms, pressed downward as if by the weight of water. In the sinking, we find the calm to descend even deeper into the music and ourselves.
