Fylkingen proudly presents an evening with a multi-channel live set by electronic musician Mint Park, and a special collaborative concert by Julia Giertz and Camilla Vatne Barratt-Due, presenting their project "Klirret på Golvet".
Mint Park is an electronic musician and a new media artist who investigates space, texture, and natural phenomenon in her sound-driven practice. Through scientific experiments and hybrid process of different digital makings, it is her attempt to continuously redefine and question the fluctuating existential qualities in today’s binary space and machine-quantified time. Her most recent research explores contingency space that emerges upon working with non-linear expressions and patterns such as, turbulence, noise, artificial intelligence and improvisation in audio-visual performances and installations. She is currently based in Amsterdam.
Julia Giertz (Stockholm) is a sound artist whose practice is based on the physical and choreographic aspects of sound. Composition is mixed with sound sculptures and electroacoustic instruments. Central to her practice are the longstanding collaborations she shares with artists, musicians and choreographers. She has shown works at Unsound, Intonal, Venice Biennale, Tensta Konsthall, Kunsthal Charlottenborg, K3 Hamburg, Norrlandsoperan and MDT among others.
Camilla Vatne Barratt-Due (Trondheim/ Berlin) is a
sound artist, composer and instrument builder. She works with her own instruments based on pneumatic mechanics, live coding and deconstruction of old accordions. Often also under the artist name Canilla. Her work has been shown in places like Transmediale, Akademie der Künste, Bergen International Festival, Stamfest, Insomnia, Piksel, Black Box Theater and others. She also works as a composer for free groups in the field of performing arts.
