Ryan O'Reilly, from Winchester, UK, is a songwriter whose Irish parentage and English upbringing combine to create a passionate storyteller. A meandering musical journey began with performing at open-mic nights in Toronto as a teenager, graduating to street busking in London. Recently gaining experience and fans from touring extensively across Europe and North America supporting This Is The Kit, Lissie, Arkells, Matthew & The Atlas, The Rural Alberta Advantage and headlining in churches across Europe with Canadian trio The O'Pears. The debut album 'The Northern Line' featured the singles 'The One', 'November' and 'Sometimes Things Just Happen' which entered German airplay charts. The forthcoming album 'I Can't Stand The Sound' is the second on Qatari record label DNA and was recorded between a New York cinema/bar on Bedford Avenue, Brooklyn and Chale Abbey Studios on the south-side of the Isle of Wight in spring 2017. The new album journeys between a fatal car accident, Irish ghosts, the beauty and darkness of Berlin, comprehending the American landscape at the end of 2016 and trying to filter out the noise of relentless opinions on 24-hour news TV and online.
