Unni Britta Kangas och Mari Vittradotter Ops
Ops is a dance piece about obsessive minds, science and Saturnus as a planet and as God. The relation between alienation and love. It’s a game with space and time which creates a playful dance performance.
An introduction poem to the piece Ops Like a motorboat, I did it again. Like little contemporary dancers each with their own orbits and paths, sometimes colliding and encountering, and sometimes not, I did it again. This is a world with nowhere to stand when a moon comes by… Without no solid surface, deeper secrets of this cosmic dance are revealed; I did it again.
Unni Britta and Mari share a common dance background, mainly as contemporary dancers. They come together in their interest in physical theatre, multidisciplinary work and feminism. Streetdance and writing is a big part of Unni Britta as an artist; an upcoming project it to perform her piece Mosquito Nights in collaboration with riksteatern. Mari finds the meeting with people to be an important key to create art. She is currently working with the dance group Moving Queens, the association Moving Spaces and with her piece Head Space.
