Turning Torso – From Top Floor to Art Hall - only for one night

Experience Undervattensdrömmar by Jeanette Wester

Step into a transformed world on the very top floor of Turning Torso. Here you are invited to experience Undervattensdrömmar, an audiovisual installation by artist Jeanette Wester – a poetic work in which you yourself become part of the artwork.

High above Malmö, you enter a weightless, dreamlike environment. Films of models and dancers from, among others, Skånes Dansteater are projected onto the surrounding surfaces. These sequences were recorded beneath the surface of the sea and digitally reimagined to create an immersive underwater realm. With the lights of Malmö and Copenhagen glowing through the panoramic windows, the view becomes an integral part of the installation, merging with the projections and transforming the entire floor into a floating landscape.

On the top floor of Turning Torso, light, shadow, sound and architecture unite to create a calm and ambient atmosphere – a different tempo, another dimension. This is visual poetry, allowing every visitor to interpret the experience in their own way, shaped by their state of mind in the moment.

Jeanette Wester has a background in scenography and architecture, and has spoken at TED Talk about transforming architectural spaces into temporary art halls. She activates environments through art, where the artwork is not always the sole focus, but part of a dialogue with the location, vision, and architecture.

Undervattensdrömmar has previously been shown in several locations in Malmö, including Kockums Fritid and Ribersborgs Kallbadhus, as well as at Centralbadet in Stockholm and Liquidrom in Berlin. On March 8, the installation will also open in Kobe, Japan.

You are warmly welcome to experience Undervattensdrömmar – where the top of Turning Torso meets the depths of the sea.
