TSCHANDALA/THE TATTER In the acclaimed performance Tschandala/The Tatter, Lindy Larsson, backed by the acclaimed Bon Bon Band, offers a personal theater concert based on his origins. He gives a voice to the travelers and makes visible a blind spot in our Swedish history that resonates into our present. The performance tackles large and complex questions about exclusion and abuse, but also about survival, healing and liberation. It is a musical manifestation, high voltage Romani music without a safety net and an urgent action to preserve an endangered minority, the Romani people. It is a revision of Swedish history and a punky reckoning with Strindberg and the short novel ”Tschandala”. Lindy has received several awards for his work on stage and for the performance Tschandala/The Tatter. Produced in collaboration with Strindbergs Intima Teater.
