ATMA

ATMA is a Quintet based in Amsterdam led by Dutch guitarist and composer Prashant Samlal. Their music is free and exploratory with a sound that ranges from expansive, open improvisations to tightly crafted experimental passages. Merging elements from spiritual music, 60s jazz and intricate harmonies of 20th-century classical music. ATMA embodies a core or centre in a free and open musical landscape in which the musicians are invited to express free-flowing ideas and musical conversation. ATMA will present music from their most recent release ‘Atma’ (EP) along with new and unreleased music.
